Healthy Dairy Free Iced Vanilla Latte

41 grams of sugar! That’s a lot. While its crazy to think that is how much could be found in a Grande Iced Starbucks Blonde Vanilla Latte, that’s exactly how much is in it. Do you really want that much sugar first thing in the morning? Neither do I. That’s why I created this recipe. I wanted to be able to enjoy a vanilla latte without the excessive sugar. Plus, this is a much cheaper alternative to buying Starbucks Coffee every morning.


Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup espresso or other strongly brewed coffee

  • ¼ cup almond milk or other milk alternative

  • 2 Tbsp almond milk creamer or other non dairy creamer option

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp honey or other sweetener

  • Ice and dairy free whipped cream, for serving


Directions:

  1. Simmer the espresso, almond milk, honey, creamer, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan for 5 to 8 minutes.

  2. Switch ingredients to a blender and blend on high for at least 20 seconds. 

  3. Cover and chill in refrigerator until cold. This can be done overnight.

  4. Transfer latte into a chilled glass with ice and top with dairy free whipped cream.


    Tip: Serve in super-cool
